Thank you for visiting my homepage where you can find links to my blog and also to the website for my new memoir, Your Mileage May Vary. Soon I hope to begin posting some of my short fiction and links to my published work.
Your Mileage May Vary recounts my adventures as an asthmatic, overweight, novice cyclist on the largest cross-country bike trek in U.S. history–the GTE Big Ride Across America to benefit the American Lung Association. The book was launched in November, 2011 and at least 50% of author royalties will be donated to support the clean air advocacy programs of the American Lung Association. You can download it for Kindle, Nook, iPad, iPhone, the Sony eReader or other eReader devices, or download it to the Kindle Cloud and read it from any internet-connected device.
And, since this is my page, here’s a little bit more about me: I have a B.S. in Psychology as a Natural Science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Professional Writing degree from the University of Southern California. My non-linear work history includes time working as an editor and writer for an air cargo trade magazine; a learning assistant for college students with learning differences; a Beach and Forest Ranger for the City of Edmonds, Washington; a literacy specialist for at-risk elementary students; a creativity facilitator for children and adults; and an artist and publisher representative. My poetry, short stories, and articles have appeared in several literary journals and newspapers.
